Wednesdays: (Will re-open April 15, 2017, 5:30 PM until 9:00 PM)
Fridays: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM                        
Saturdays & Sundays: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
The Shotgun Range is closed on Holidays


The Shotgun Range does not have shotguns available for rent!

Please contact the Range before traveling out on marginal weather nights to insure that
we are open and will remain open before coming out.

UPCOMING EVENTS:
"SCTP" Trapshooting Central High School starts their 2017 Season on  February 27th
on Monday nights. The gates will be open at 4:40 PM every Monday night during their
Shooting Season. Due to the shortage of parking spots we ask as many Shooters, Parents
and Grandparents etc. as possible to please try to car pool.

On April 21st the Shotgun  Range will begin taking sign-ups for the upcoming Summer League.
Summer Leagues will begin on May 16th at 6:00 PM. The League will run for ten weeks with
(50) targets per week, one round from the 16 yard line and one round from handicap yardage.

5 Stand will be opening late spring/early summer.

The Shotgun Range is looking for CCKC members to become Range Officers
The qualifications are:

Member for 1 year in good standing
Must be 21 years of age
Must pass basic knowledge Range Officer Safety exam
Must volunteer for 8 Range Officer duty days per year

The Shotgun Range provides Trap and Skeet Fields, plus a pattern board. Shot size is limited to # 7 1/2, #8 and #9 on the Trap Fields and #9 only on the Skeet Fields. Steel shot is prohibited. Hearing and eye protection is mandatory.
Due to an incident involving a non-member in November 2009,
all non-members must now purchase their shotgun shells from the Shotgun Range.

All CCKC  members will have their shells inspected by a Range Officer prior to shooting.

Trap Range

There are 5 regulation Trap fields for competition shooting, ranging from 16 to 27 yards. Shotgun target loads only may be used on the Trap Range. This means that only Trap or Skeet shells that contain # 7 1/2, #8 or #9 shot and are rated at 3 dram equivalent or less and contain no more than 1-1/8 ounces of shot.  A tutorial about Trap shooting provided by Remington Firearms can be found HERE


Skeet Range

Only target loads with #9 shot are allowed on the Skeet Range.

Patterning Board

A shotgun patterning board is available. Target loads only; steel shot and slugs are prohibited. Slugs may be fired at the Rifle Range or Black Powder Range.

Trap & Skeet Standard Member: $5.00 Non-Member: $10.00

Trap Doubles Member: $10.00 Non-Member: $20.00


Shotgun Range General Rules

All range users and shooters are personally responsible for range safety
and safe shooting.
All shooters are responsible to immediately correct any unsafe conditions.
If you observe any unsafe situation, report it immediately to a range officer.
Parents are responsible for their children.
Alcohol is prohibited at all CCKC ranges.
Persons who have been consuming alcohol or are under the influence of drugs are prohibited from shooting.
Shooters and observers must wear ear and eye protection.
All shotguns must be carried with the actions open.
Muzzles must be pointed down range or in a safe direction.
Shotguns will be kept unloaded until at the firing position.
Keep shotgun actions open until ready to shoot.
Keep finger off the trigger until ready to fire.
Single load only except when shooting trap doubles or skeet.
Target loads only. All game loads and shells containing steel shot or slugs are prohibited.
Only # 7 1/2, #8 or #9 shot is permitted on the trap fields.
Only #9 shot permitted on the skeet fields.
No shooting at unauthorized targets.
Deposit all trash in containers.
Respect others and their equipment.
Please follow these rules while using the range. Violations will be
enforced. Violators will be asked to leave the facility, and are subject to
criminal and/or civil sanctions.
